I like how there are references to Inanimate Insanity. The recommended character "Balloon" looks like Balloon from Inanimate Insanity but armless. Also BFDI Nickel is based on I.I. Nickel, with a similar personality, and has the same voice actor. This is actually the first where Nickel is voiced by Adam Katz but he was a minor voice actor but joined as a major voice actor in the then-upcoming BFDIA onwards. In Nickel's audition tape of the previous episode, he was voiced by Cary. Nickel said "Well, I just know I'm going to win!" first even though I.I. Nickel was the original. But I.I. Nickel said it for the first time in "Double Digit Desert" (Inanimate Insanity S1E10), which came out in February 1, 2012, but this one came out on June 1, 2011, so technically BFDI Nickel said it first. BFDI Nickel was actually a recommended character known by different names at the time. His BFDI 14 counterpart is the one created by Adam, but "The Stupid Trailer" came out just a few weeks after BFDI 14, so BFDI Nickel is the OG. Also, Nickel wore arms in this one and the previous episode. In the BFDI 2023 meetup with Inanimate Insanity, I.I. Nickel said that these were prosthetic arms, and both Nickels are armless. Also, in "The Arena of Death", I.I. Nickel said he didn't wanna be on BFDI anyway, even though this takes place a few hours before this one. In the then-upcoming "One-Shot Wonder", I.I. Nickel mentioned that he was trapped in the Locker of Losers, but Nonexisty helped him escape through the inside, but that was the BFDI Nickel all along as revealed in the also then-upcoming BFDIA 1. Also in the meetup video is that during a flashback I.I. Nickel meant "Embrace Coiny" instead of "Replace Coiny" when he was holding the sign in this one.
