Great review! Bfs! I don’t have one. i usually do spinning for finesse, but may look into one one day.

Half my baitcasters are BFS now, lol. I'm deep in the rabbit hole. If you like throwing a baitcaster your gonna like getting into being able to throw really light lures. It catches big and small fish and no matter what size, it takes the level of fun up a notch or two. I'm acutally working on a short vid atm where i'm casting a drop shot on a bfs. Tight lines brother!!!

Whoa. This was pretty sick. I’m completely new to BFS reels, what the heck haha. Oh boy, another world to dive into….
@DrinkWetPoopFishing Жыл бұрын
Yeah the world of BFS has me hook line and sinker for sure. Its the reason I no longer need a spinning reel. I can throw a ned rig and drop shot with baitcasters. I already have my eyes on the next rod and reel to buy to feed my addiction, lol. Tight lines brother and as always, thanks for watching.

Awesome review, really enjoyed the slow mo test. I haven’t used this one yet, looks like a decent rod, aesthetically pleasing, and pretty inexpensive. Love learning about some new bfs rods!

Thanks brother!! Got my eye on the Phenix bfs rod next. Of course ill have to buy a reel to pair it with, lol. Tight lines!!

@@DrinkWetPoopFishing lol I know how that goes!! Hahah that’s one brand I’ve been really interested in! I’ll be looking forward to it. Their standard casting rods look pretty nice too and at a decent price point if the durability and sensitivity is there!

@@kentuckesseeangler I would have bought one already but no one has the shortest one in stock. Do u have the Daiwa gelkabijin or the cormorant version of the flight feather? Curious what you think of them.
@kentuckesseeangler Жыл бұрын
@@DrinkWetPoopFishing I have the Gekkabijin, I was using it earlier today for white bass. I love it, it’s an outstanding reel and I think you’d really appreciate it. All around great reel from the aesthetics to the functionality. I I typically run 6lb Fluorocarbon and 1/16-1/4 and it flings those perfectly. Id put it right next to my Aldebaran BFS for feel and quality.

@@kentuckesseeangler alright that does it, ill get that reel and wait for the Phenix rod to be available, lol. Thanks for the info brother. You have a lot of high end stuff, love to hear your thought on them sometime.

As I thought, this rod is a bit stiffer than I expected. It seems that its test is somewhere in the range of 3-12 grams, maybe more, and the action speed is similar to a medium light rod, but I am sure that it has a top sensor due to the very light and stiff material. I find it a good tool for medium to light jigging and twitching of small Minnow class wobblers up to 90mm. I'm also thinking of buying an ACE HAWK CU DOUBLE rod with two tips, it's like an idea for the next such review ;-). I also think it would be nice to add the name of the rod to the video title or description, I'm sure it will get you more views. Nice review, keep it up. Thank you.

Yes, I also have the Histar Assasin L but it feels more like an ML, so i think they may tend to make theirs on the stiffer side. I acutally have the CU double, which is the rod I normally pair with the Adebaran, so that will be next. I think ill just go over the spec and do both the load slomows and casting slomows of just the tip. Maybe a camera angle from the bottom. I'll also start recommendations based on type of fishing folks want to do. Thanks for the suggestions and for watching my content. I think you have gotten me steered in the right direction for these types of videos. Tight lines!!

Nice review….. but please get rid of that kastking reel throw heavy weight light weight OVER BRAKED!!!! And as for the Shimano Aldebaran my most expensive reel you have to rely dial it in and half spool it to throw anything light my opinion!!!
@DrinkWetPoopFishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks Brother. I'm kind of a gear nerd so I can't get rid of this valiant eagle 2, even though it is definitely overbraked. I think i have this thing set to 2 all the time and it still overbraked. I actually took all the magnet off one side and it still was bad, lol. but i can't get rid of it. I may just put it asside cause i am currently at 9 BFS combos. I think once I get the gekkebijin or the cormorant flight feather, ill retire it, but keep. Thanks for watching my content. More to come!! Tight lines!!
