To make a breakthrough season of any show on T.V, a great cast is required first and foremost. The production of BGC3 did everything to upgrade the franchise (changing the episode format from 30 minutes to an hour, had the girls go on a vacation for the first time out of the U.S, and replaced Star Jones with Perez Hilton as the reunion host)... EXCEPT HAVING A CAST OF ACTUAL BAD GIRLS. Everything that BGC2 was.... BGC3 was definitely not! This season was doomed to be an immediate flop when the cast is filled with pathetic tryhards (Aliea and Whitney), irrelevant Playboy rejects (Ashley and Sarah), a hypocrite in disguise (Tiffany), and a narcissistic bigot (Amber B.). That leaves Amber M. and Kayla... and one of them left the show after episode 5. Those 2 were the only ones who brought the entertainment and were likable more often than not. This reunion fit perfectly for the season as a whole because it was that lackluster. At least Perez called out Aliea for who and what she is, as well as calling out Whitney for not being from Boston. I wanted to like Ashley so much when she debuted on episode 7, but her joining the Fake 4 which became the Fake 5 made me change my mind. Her getting read by Kayla was the best moment of the reunion. In speaking of Kayla K.C, they don't cast girls like her anymore. She was raw, authentic, and I couldn't help but root for her to win in life. She is possibly the most complex bad girl ever. From having to deal with homelessness (her grandmother kicked her out for joining BGC), to her light skin/dark skin complex (which led to verbal spats between her and Tiffany), to her criminal history (paying items with counterfeit money), and even her abandonment issues. Also, her eternal bitchface and one-liners were fucking hilarious! Amber M. was funny in her own way and became an underdog from episode 6 to the finale, but we all know who was the true star of BGC3... and that was Kayla. Sadly, even a legendary bad girl like her couldn't save this shitshow. BGC3 is the fourth worst season of the franchise (with only BGC14, BGC8, and BGC11 ranking worse). When a season is noted for having the first jumping that occurred, you know it is a season that needs to be skipped. It also doesn't help that it is between BGC2 and BGC4 (the latter that truly put Bad Girls Club on the map).
