রামকৃষ্ণ মিশনে এডমিশন হয়নি ছোটবেলায়, রাগটা পুষে রেখেছিলেন, ক্লাস ৯ এ মহকুমা কুইজ কম্পিটিশনে সেই স্কুলেরই ছাত্রদের হারিয়ে প্রথম হলেন।জীবনের প্রথম পাঠ পেলেন, উপযুক্ত প্রস্তুতিই জেতার উপায়। কথা বলতে পারতেন না ঠিক করে, হাজারো ডাক্তার-পরামর্শ পর, এক হাতুড়ে ডাক্তার দেখিয়ে ফিরে পেলেন স্বাভাবিক কণ্ঠস্বর।
এরপর প্রথম ১০০ টাকা পারিশ্রমিকে এঙ্কারিং করেছেন, আর এই থেকে পথ চলা শুরু। এরপরে স্টেজে উঠেছেন, কথাও বলেছেন অনেক। কিন্তু, গলার নার্ভের সমস্যাটার অবশিষ্ট থেকে যায়, তোতলানো।

Growing up as a stammering kid in Asansol, West Bengal, It wasn't easy for Nilanjan to survive with vocal disability. His typical middle class family had a lot of expectations from him, as usual. Due to his disability and situational problems, he was confronted with adversaries but each of those that he faced turned out to be important life-lessons.
To succeed in life, Nilanjan says that we have to so much prepared in life that we can grab all the opportunities that come across our path. Nilanjan is an example of how passion can uplift us in our life.

He is really inspirational to us but he should have to give logic to following issue discussed below. At first due to damage of nerve of neck never causes stammering .Leison in Broca's area causes stammering. Stammering is natural. If you work hard for stammering since many years you would be able to overcome maximum 70%. Some people stammer when they are in stage or public places, that is artificial stammering. It may be found in almost every person when they become nervous. But natural stammering never can be cured 100%.
