Counter Attack was most famous attack but it lost their popularity for some vulnerability which is named as "Traxler Counter Attack" It is antidote of counter attack.. Chess grand master analysed all pattern and structure of chess board piece for this attack, as a result it declared as vulnerable..so you can't be successful if you want to win by this attack..it lost their popularity some years ago..
