Mountain Lions are not found in India , they both belong to same family of cat but are different in looks , example tiger and lion are different in looks , leapord has different colour and mountain lion has different , their built is also different.

Nothing can save a human from an attacking animal...Unless you're carrying some heavy weapon.( Sword, Spear or a gun). Sir i am from jodhpur (rajasthan)….hamare yaha ek leopard aa rakha hai…forest department valo k accoridng vo aravali ya pakistan border side se aaya hai….abhi 3-4 mnths ho gye hai vo leopard mil nhin rahi forest valo ko….usne ek biological park me deers bhi maar diye hai 12-13….sabse ajeeb baat ye aayi…jab usko pakdne k liye cage lagaya…to 2 bakre rakhe gye…ek cage me aur ek open…jab camera recording saamne aayi to leopard dikha jarur lekin uske naa to cage vale bakre ko kuch kiya aur naa hi cage k bahar bandhe hue ko….vo leopard forest valo se 2 step aage hai….sir koi leopard itna clever kaise ho skta hai??

Vivek Ji, thanks for sharing your experience with us. I would love to visit you in the near future. BTW great tips on precautionw against wild animal encounters. Two small tips to add. Wearing a jacket with a chain can be helpful to look big. You can just unzip it and hold the bottom ends and raise your arms up. It will help make you look bigger and also you can drop it down in case you are running away. The animal will probably stall when it reaches your jacket. Another tip is if you end up in a situation where you must hit the animal then using a rock will be better than using your fist. 🙏
