ময়মনসিংহের ভালুকায় ৫ তারকা হোটেল মেরিয়ট, লাক্সারি রিসোর্ট ও ভিলা, বিশ্বমানের ব্রিটিশ আবাসিক স্কুল হেলিবেরি, ১ হাজার শয্যার হাসপাতালসহ অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল গড়ে তুলছে বেস্ট হোল্ডিংস লিঃ । কোম্পানিটির চেয়ারম্যান আমিন আহমদ টিবিএসকে জানিয়েছেন, এসব প্রকল্পে বিনিয়োগ হবে প্রায় সাড়ে ৩ হাজার কোটি টাকা। আগামী ডিসেম্বরে চালু হতে যাচ্ছে মেরিয়ট ভালুকা। আর নভেম্বরে শুরু হবে স্কুলে ছাত্র ভর্তি। আগামী ২-৩ বছরে সব প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ হলে অঞ্চলটি ঘিরে গড়ে ওঠবে দেশের প্রথম স্যাটেলাইট সিটি- এমনটাই আশা আমিন আহমদ-এর।

আপনাদের চমৎকার উদ্যোগ এর জন্য অনেক অনেক শুভকামনা । কিন্ত, ঢাকার মতো একটা স্বল্প উন্নত শহরে আপনারা কেন লস-এন্জেলেস বা টোকিও এর সমান ভাড়া রাখেন । বাংলাদেশের চেয়ে অনেক উন্নত দেশেও আপনাদের সমমানের হোটেলের ভাড়া আপনাদের অর্ধেক!

এইখানে তাদের কোনো হাত নাই।সরকারে কাছ থেকে নিধারন করে দেয়, একটা ৫স্টার হোটেল ভাড়া কেমন হবে লোকেশন বুঝে।আর টোকিও কিংবা LA তে ভাড়া বাংলাদেশে চেয়ে কয়েকগুন। হোটেল মালিক তো আর নিজের পকেটে টাকা খরচ করে কর্মচারী,কর্মকতাদের বেতন দিবে না।কাস্টমার থেকে যা অর্থ চার্জ করে সেটা থেকে দেয়।এর বাইরে ট্যাক্স ইত্যাদিও বহন করতে হয়।
