Mt. Ch. 23 is stunningly applicable in this regard, especially verse. These teacher make their own rules an regulations and impose them on others, as if those of God. They surprisingly ignore the saying of Jesus that no disciple is greater than his teacher. The Catholic Church, after capturing the Apostolic Church and after usurping its authority and and after swallowing Christianity, replaced the teachings and mandates of Jesus Christ, the Gospeles, the divine law, with its manmade law, the Canon Law, rendering salvation impossible to attain, and directs its activities to ensure attain damnation very easily, especially through the sacraments. Just compare them with the NORMS OF LAST JUDGEMENT (Mt. 25:31-46). The role of Catholicism is depicted in Mt.13:24-30 & 36-42 (The Parable of the Weeds/Cockles). The Canon Law contradicts the Gospel teachings/truth absolutely. So, beware of Canon Law and its executors!
