There are many temples in India which are known for their speciality Going to tell you about one such temple Mahadev is worshipped in both the idol and the linga form You may have heard that mahakalandie and other Shivalingas are getting smaller in size but we will tell you about a Shivalinga that does not decrease in size but increases every year Today you are going to talk about this unique Shivalinga
In fact the Shivling belongs to Bhuteshwarnath in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh The naturally built is the world largest Shivling It is about 18 feet high and 20 feet above the ground It is measured by the Department of Revenue every year with it being increased by 6 to 8 inches every year It is said that every year it grows which is nothing short of a magic It is a Shivalinga in Maroda village three kilometres from the main city amidst dense forests Like the 12 Jyotirlingas it is also recognised as the semi-narisvara Shivling
The story about the paragaon resident Zamindar Shobha Singh was cultivated several years ago When Shobha Singh visited his farm in the evening he heard a mound of bull and a lion roaring At first he felt that it was his case but after hearing this voice several times Shobha Singh told the villagers about it
The villagers also heard voices several times near the mound All of them then searched for a bull or a lion nearby but no animals were found far and wide Hundreds of people visit the temple every year to visit them and to offer water The number of devotees visiting this place is increasing every year
It is then said that the mound was in small form but gradually its height and roundness grew It continues to grow People have started worshipping this mound as Shivling The sound of the huhin in the Chhattisgarhi language is called Bhakra which is why Bhuteshwarnath is also known as Bhakra Mahadev
