First go for pest control n then after a month or so make a dough from 2 teaspoons Boric powder + 4 teaspoons wheat flour + milk non boiled n then paste it in each n every corner of your kitchen. Make some small balls out of it n put it inside the drawers. Do it in every 2-3 months. I am following this since last 10-12 years n trust me it's an amazing remedy.

Spiral binding is like very cheapest, replace to hard binding and if possible front page you use your and husband full photo with welcome to hand images “Namastai”.
