i grew up with these Bhajans by Shri Sukh Deo Prasad and still enjoy them 25 years later. These are the original TamburDa bhajans. Other Artists were Ashok Kumar, Balram and Ram Balram in the late 80s and early 90s. A very very dhanyavaadh to Avish Pal for uploading this. Ram Ram

So get closer to the sailor (Lord) who will guide you (safely) across. 2. Pānch baras kā bholā bhālā, pānch baras kā bholā bhālā; Pūjā prārthanā maine kiyā nā; bahut dino' se bīt rehanā (2). (Ref) When I was five years old, I did not perform worship or pray. I lost precious time that could have been spent getting closer to the Lord. 3. Tīs baras kā ab mati upajī, tīs baras kā ab mati upajī; Lobh hī lobh maine sochī; dhyān aur kīrtan nahī' karanā (2).(Ref) Now I have reached the age of thirty, I still think only of accumulating material wealth. I do not meditate on, or sing the praises of, the Lord. 4. Briddh bhayo tab ālas upajī, briddh bhayo tab ālas upajī; Sangati kabahū maine kī nahī'; jīvan bhar mai' pachhatānā (2).(Ref) When old age arrives, I will regret the the time I have wasted. I will ruefully look back at my life and then repent (perhaps, a bit too late). .

Awesome bhajan! many thanks for sharing, however, the video is questionable, would someone use the picture of a pig in Muslim or Christian prayer videos or songs. I like dogs but I think it is overkill. If Indians of any type and stripe do not respect these bhajans how do we expect nonindians to do so? Mr. Pal, a review would be most welcome. Many thanks anyway!

shame on you Avish Pal for the portrayed images on such a great artists bhajans, its an equivalent to a blasphemy. Sukh Deo was a legend in bhajans, the least you can do is remove dog faces from his bhajans and leave it a blank. cmon man, have some respect for the great legend.
