I've always wondered why non indians' understanding of Hinduism is so different from indians'. I suppose bhakti movement is the answer. Because the way I have perceived Hindu religion and mythology throughout my childhood, it seems more bhakti inspired rather than Vedas and Upanishad inspired.

I think your observation can apply to all religions. Typically the "insider" (follower of a religion) only knows the religion based on personal experience - limited by time and place/culture. Protestant Christians in the 20th century know little about Catholics and other denominations beyond their own, not to mention little to no knowledge of Christian history and development beyond what the New Testament presents. It does take a larger objective perspective of the "outsider" view to see the "big picture" - the fullness of any religion as it is across time (history) and space (culture) that goes beyond limited personal experience.

By the way Sal (Salman) Khan of Khan academy is from Bengal and he can understand Indian languages like Hindi and he is much familiar with Indian culture.

It is because the philosophical worldviews of the bhakti movement have predominantly been marketed as the entirety of Hinduism in the institutions of the Indian political nation state, with the socialist political aspiration to psychologically justify religious and cultural incompatibility. It is primarily done by the socialists to gaslight and emasculate the Hindu males into accepting what they are not supposed to like and tolerate, so the socialist project remains unchallenged.

Excellent! Great info on Bhakti Yoga! They're 3 paths karma (action), jnana (knowledge), and bhakti (devotion). Most of the modern religions are also practicing the above 3 paths... However, Lord Krishna said, "For those whose minds are attached to the unmanifested, impersonal feature of the Supreme Lord, advancement is very troublesome. To make progress in that discipline is always difficult for those who are embodied." BG 12.5 THIS IS THE LAST REVELATION! Therefore, Bhakti-yoga is highly recommended for this era, Kali-Yuga!

innovative to end the song with a bhajan. It simply coveys the meaning so simple and easy.
@chiragverma35987 жыл бұрын
The bhajan at the end can be suitably dedicated to you as well. 'Tum bin aur na dooja, aas karu main kiski', translated as 'Without thee, there is no other from whom I can expect anything'.

Hinduism is today is nothing like Hinduism when it started. Infact there is nothing like Hinduism or even nothing like Sanatan Dharma. Todays HINDUISM is result of variations started around 800-1000 yrs back. There is no hindoo temple older than 800-1000yr , the vedas manuscript is no older than 500-600 yr. Even the language "sanskrit" isn't the oldest, there were languages which were older & used by Buddhists which was pali prakrit. Hinduism is biggest scam wver played. Stay away.
