Greetings Thomas, 'Mellow Yellow' is a really crazy song with its psychedelic lyrics. It surprised me that it was able to place so high in the charts, but the times were more open-minded back then. An electric banana appears in the lyrics. I'm curious if it played a role when The Pretty Things renamed themselves to The Electric Banana for a while? 'Atlantis' is also a cool song by Donovan. I hope the world doesn't suffer the same fate as Atlantis. I definitely wish you a mellow New Year too, Thomas. Cheers, Bernd

The Electric Banana was The Pretty Things alter egos. There's the Andy Warhol banana on the cover of Velvet Underground"s debut album "67. "Atlantis" is a psych folk rock gem. Love Donovan. I saw him once. Phenomenal show. It was at a small place. Any seat was a good seat. "Atlantis" was one of the songs he played and I saw him do it right in front of my face.
