Hi, I am still to make the decision about bachelors in Germany, so when I asked the counselors and other students, who did 1st yr from India, it was much more expensive than doing a studien Kolleg because once u take admission in any college in India and decide to leave after the 1st yr/semester, they ask you to pay for all the 4 semester ls since one has taken the seat for all 4 years.

No. If you are applying for a German thaught programme, you need b2 level proficiency. If you are applying for English thaught programme, you actually don't have to study German language, but if you study German language, you can easily get part-time jobs.
