Building dams for development is good, but we should also remember it's downsides. "The development of one should not be the cause of destruction for others. "

Dam has many more disadvantages also, sediments storing in a particular place, breaking the natural flow will disallow other insects to live there and many more

@@YTANISHRAJ your point is correct that quality of life is important but after upgradation of the quality people have become more greedy and making unnecessary things like Overconsumption of meat: The meat industry is a major contributor to deforestation, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. Practical examples: Choosing a vegetarian or vegan diet, or reducing meat consumption to once or twice a week. Disposable single-use items: Products like plastic straws, utensils, and water bottles create huge amounts of waste and contribute to pollution in the oceans and landfills. Practical examples: Using reusable alternatives, like metal or bamboo straws, utensils, and refillable water bottles. Fast fashion: The fashion industry is responsible for a large amount of waste and pollution, from the production process to the disposal of clothing. Practical examples: Buying clothes secondhand or from sustainable and ethical fashion brands, and repairing or repurposing clothes instead of throwing them away. Driving alone in a car: Personal vehicles emit large amounts of greenhouse gases and contribute to air pollution. Practical examples: Carpooling or using public transportation, biking or walking when possible, and driving an electric or hybrid car. Disposable diapers: Disposable diapers create a significant amount of waste and contribute to pollution in landfills. Practical examples: Using cloth diapers instead, or choosing biodegradable and compostable disposable diapers. Single-use coffee cups: Disposable coffee cups create a large amount of waste and are difficult to recycle. Practical examples: Using a reusable coffee mug or thermos instead of disposable cups. Excessive packaging: Packaging materials like plastic, styrofoam, and bubble wrap create large amounts of waste and contribute to pollution. Practical examples: Choosing products with minimal packaging, buying in bulk, and using reusable containers. Air travel: Airplanes emit large amounts of greenhouse gases and contribute to air pollution. Practical examples: Limiting air travel, choosing to travel by train or bus when possible, and offsetting carbon emissions from air travel. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides: These chemicals pollute water sources and harm the environment. Practical examples: Using natural fertilizers and pest control methods, like compost and companion planting. Disposable wipes: Products like disposable wipes create a significant amount of waste and contribute to pollution in landfills. Practical examples: Using washable and reusable cloth wipes instead. Single-use plastic bags: Plastic bags create a large amount of waste and pollution, and can harm wildlife. Practical examples: Using reusable cloth or canvas bags instead of disposable plastic bags. Leaving electronics plugged in when not in use: This wastes energy and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Practical examples: Unplugging electronics when not in use, using power strips, and choosing energy-efficient appliances. Bottled water: Bottled water creates a large amount of waste and contributes to pollution. Practical examples: Using a reusable water bottle, filtering tap water at home, and avoiding single-use plastic water bottles. Disposable razors: Disposable razors create a significant amount of waste and are difficult to recycle. Practical examples: Using a safety razor or electric razor instead of disposable razors.

Some solution should be implemented. Maybe the dam water can be redirected into some canal. To compensate for year round high water level. Something must be possible. It looks like a easy problem to solve
