India needs this type of hypothetical economy thoughts right now. Financial issues with abroad is disrupting our economy day by day, with game changing rules it can be solved. "UPI" would be the master solution. 👍👍

Best option for us would be to push for a BRICS currency which is as of now unexplored option. Rupees will not be able to make any impact anytime soon. China was able to do it to some extent because of huge products list that it can export. India is working in that direction but it is nowhere near. Russia too is concerned about what it should do with rupees if they do trade in rupees. Realistically I dont think we can do anything about De-dollarization at this point. UPI is a great framework that can facilitate trade transaction but its like having 8k gaming TV but barely any 8k games. India needs to increase the areas where Rupees can be used which is easier said than done

Ground reality is totally different.. Russia is complaining about trading in INR.. They are saying they can't trade in INR with other currencies. So if they dump INR from their Vostro account, then INR will impact hugely in international market.

That's bcoz if they today want to use INR to buy some goods from any other country.. that country won't accept it.. They can use that INR to buy goods majorly from India.. but India is very behind in manufacturing products, we majorly export either raw materials or services.. So that's the problem, Russian money in INR is not very useful to them.. thus complaining

TO summarise, Many countries promoting de dollarization just to ensure their potential to fight against any future failure or financial crisis like the one we have seen in Russia's invasion of Ukraine Promoting own currency would not only stabilise that country but also allow it to mark its superiority on global stage. China started its union pay which is being accepted in 70 countries throughout the world with having 32% of its shares in transaction and stood 2nd in race with visa and MasterCard which accounts for 40% and 24% transaction rates respectively.. Other additional information --- 1. China also started its 2nd currency renminbi in 2014 to promote exchange of commodities in national currency 2. Then South African rand also got popularity 3. Then new development bank which allow brics to disburse 50% of its loans in its own currency among its members 4. RBI unveiled a rupee central system and encourage other nations to open Vostro account
