Bhavamu lona Ragam Suddha Dhanyasi Adi talam Annamayya Krithi Bhaavamulona… sankeerthana by Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in Telugu is an expression of the devotee and his inclination towards the Lord to chant his nama mantram in his heart as well as on his lips. That means that the devotee is required to always tune his body and mind (meaning physical and mental faculties) to bring himself nearer to the Lord. Sri Annamacharya meant that the devotees of the Lord have nothing other than filling one’s mind with the Lord’s praises ! In this poem, Annamayya explains the significance of each of Venkatesha's names. Interestingly, he uses a different verb to describe the way the name has to be said. For example, he says "Serve by saying Govinda", "search by saying Vishnu", "seek shelter by saying Achyutha". There is a far more intellectual and spiritual intention to this Annamayya's poem that can be explained easily.I am just attempting to bring forth the literal meaning and leaving it to the readers to delve deeper and contemplate for spiritual contention. P bhAvamu lOna bAhyamu nanduna, gOvinda gOvinda ani koluvavO manasA !! In heart and outwardly, "Govinda Govinda" say and serve O mind ! …. Annamayya urges his mind to serve both externally and internally, by saying "Govinda". Govinda actually translates to (go+vinda= cow+appease) one who appeases the cows. The reference of this Raaga shouldn't be used in Ok Kanmani because the Real meaning of this Raaga is to pray God(Govinda) deep inside your heart(Bhaavamulonaa) & also to pray outside your heart by singing Songs & doing Bhajans etc.,(Bhaaymunandhunu). But the Scene in Ok Kanmani is love scene & the lead roles are doing horrible romance while playing this Raaga in background.
