Happy new year dear Maithilî. perfect recording, perfect music, perfect tabla and so authentic a vocal ensemble. I watch at your recent interview and thought it was a bit complex .... I wrote what i felt about it, and here, i post it, incase of it could be erased . I prefer you read it and erased it yourself after reading. Below here it is. I do not feel this interview, and i have the freedom to tell it. The reporter thinks as someone from a western country, thus, he doesn' t own the ability to point the right questions. nevertheless, Maithili copes with an absolute cleverness and manages with every question. Maithili is a good person, gifted, clever and blessed, what is often missing in the West unconsciousness. I remember when i met Maithili , really at the beginning, i instantly appreciated her authenticity, and her brother on tabla was already so good, inspired. I criticize the bad quality of her microphone recording ... she didn' t really appreciated it, but just a few days after, the quality of all her recordings rose up ! So happy i was ! I would say today : never be confident with someone from western country living in India. That is my point of view. Maithili, you have not to beg the audience neither recognition . As yesterday, i point a major problem. You are a blessed soul, and you have not to beg anything from such a situation. people from everywhere should already bow the knees in front of you, and not consider they are equal to you. You are an authentic Diva. You know what, i am a great fan of any music and singing in India, and especially south India, Carnatic Music ... so you can imagine who i love the most. But i think and deeply believe you are equally gifted, in your own way, your own special way. Don't practice as others do, don' t compare you to others, don' t answer in similar interviews, and never speak too much ! You are not coming from a similar planet and especially not from Mumbai studios ! But in you Mahitila region of Bihar , you are the best one, in your intimacy you can be the best one, the angel of Maithila area. Ravel told to Gershwin: "Don't hope to be a second ravel, become the first Gershwin". Gershwin understood and did it. Wish you the best, young Lady, become first. Conclusion, you need the Royal Albert Hall, nothing less ./
