Why did you not stayed in Jorhat? You cannot skip these places if you want to know of the elite Assamese culture and sociey. It has Tocklai Tea Research Institute, heart bed of Assam tea industry, Agriculture University, Assam Gymkhana club. It's also holds the Freemason house that was used by British to perform occult against the, Nazis, Hoollongapar Wildlife Sanctuary, . If you only follow Durlav who himself I believe hardly know much outside drinking shullai .If you skip these places just because he has some friend in Golaghat it's fine. But a very bad move. No hate but explore on your own.
