Like mass shootings, mass shootings happen so much now that people just continue going to work, going on with their day, etc and the news just moves on to the next story. Back then, if you heard or saw 7, 8, or 11 plus shot in a mass shooting, it made national news all week to a month and everyone would be in shock and couldn't stop talking about it. Compare the number of rappers that died in a four year span in this era vs. 96-2000 it's no comparison.
