Agreed. He's normally just showed as an emotional brute and a foodie in TV shows. I wish there was a commitee in the TV industry that fact checked and corrected these things. While these TV shows by Ekta Kapoor have (majorly) helped people and kids learn about many aspects about the indian mythology, there have been some major misconceptions that were spread by her tv shows

Bheema was truely the Hero of Mahabharata after Krishna.. hero is the guy who kills the villans, Bheema killed all 100 Kauravas. Hero is the guy who is compassionate, Bheema is the only Pandava who is always there for Draupadi whenever she is in trouble.Hero is the guy who is steadfast on dharma, Bheema asks Krishna during sandhan to stop the war and when Kauravas dont agree then he fights it like Dharma yuddh without second thought unlike Arjun who multiple times even after Bhagvadgeeta keeps lamenting about fighting family members. So bheema is so underrated.

Absolutely. Arjuna was a hero, no doubt. But bheema was magnitudes above. To represent bheema as a beef-head is one of the greatest travesties of TV Mahabharat. He was a most jnaani among all people, after krishNa paramaatma. Krishna sarvOttama, bheema jeevOttama.

You can read this book. The English translation of Randamoozham is Second Turn by P. K. Ravindranath, published in 1997. Another English translation, Bhima: Lone Warrior, was published in 2013 by Gita Krishnankutty. Randamoozham is a Malayalam-language novel by M. T. Vasudevan Nair, published in 1984. He is Vrukodara not Vakrodara boss. Means, he has a type of Agni named "Vruk" In his stomach. This helps him digest anything, even poison by matter. Moreover kept him hungry always. That's why he is capable to digest poisonous food fed by Duryodhana.

He said it should be pronounced "Bheem" that's the pronunciation the English language gave it to & generally the English speakers pronounce it that way by adding an extra syllable at the suffix of many Sanskrit words. And where is the South and North debate coming from? He didn't mentioned about any of these. Indeed, the South carries most of the Tax burden of our country, but its also true that the superfluity of food comes from the North with a very noticeable margin. So, instead of creating this nonsense of dividing two regions or culture on the basis of superiority and inferiority, you should really focus on widening your knowledge and understand that both these cultures complements each other.

​@@pritammaitra4630In Sanskrit, it's pronounced like we do in Kannada and other South Indian languages. Not like you do in Hindi. So what matters is Sanskrit pronunciation. It's "भीमः" in Sanskrit. It becomes Bhima if you remove the vibhakti. Saying just "Bhim" is incorrect in Sanskrit. Of course it's correct in Hindi. I am ok with both, but South Indian pronunciation is closer to Sanskrit.
