After Kattapana you crossed a town with a big masjid and some poeple dancing on the road to the accompaniment of drums. That town is called Erumeli and the mosque is called 'Vavar Palli" Vavar is Babar in malayalam and palli means mosque. Lord Ayyappa and Vavar were good friends and every pilgrim who goes to Sabarimala goes to Erumeli does the " Petta Thullal" which is the dance and pays his obeisance at the mosque and then proceeds to Sabarimala.

Kerala is beautiful place and many unexplored places, i have property in North Erumely and enjoy my drive from Bangalore to Mundaka yam(Kerala) which takes around 9hrs via Blr-Salem-Dindigul-Kumily. I enjoy rainy seasons and winters when weather is pleasant. There are beautiful viewpoints and waterfalls near our place. Really amazing. Loved your trip, God bless you all ❤

Usually when you check Google it will take your through Adimali --> Neriamangalam --> Thodupuzha however we did a detour towards Kumily and before Kumily we connected to Kattapana where we took Cardamom from exporter. The route we took was Munnar --> Cardamom Hills --> Nedumkandam --> Kattappana --> Elappara --> Erumeli --> Ranni --> Adoor --> Varkala. We did not go till Kumily however you can explore if you have time.

Nope… not with Mahindra as it’s long drive. Multiple gear change may put pressure on knee however long trips won’t have that case.

Just a little advise. i too travelled vid my son when he was a month old on festival day by train to avoid rush due to some emergency, taken full precautions, but around little more than 1y, he was diagnosed vid TB of bone,probably caught during travel as child has low immunity n few viruses r in air, underwent surgery to remove pus frm bone n full 9 month med., so just b extra careful while travelling vid manvi.god bless her❤
