I am not sure why people are comparing this young girl, whose mother tongue is not even Urdu, with Ustaad Mehdi Hasan? As far as I am concerned, she is pretty good and therefore must be encouraged to sing more ghazals. Unlike other Indian ghazal singers, with an exception of Jagjit Singh and Pankaj Udhas, her pronunciation of Urdu words is perfect.. Listen carefully to the word "Shaaqh" that she delivered so correctly. Others would have said: Shaak.

This sounds absolutely amazing, especially with the sarangi, because it takes mad skills to play, sing, hear, PERFORM. The video is unfortunate only because this was not done with a better video camera, if it was professionally filmed, you would see just how nuanced this is...ironically it would not exist without the effort, so thank you very much!

4:00 phir bhi dhool urhti rehti Hay, is correct. Not dhool urhti rehti THII. She was singing really good but destroy lyrics . She need good manager who can research about lyrics at least. I listen one another indian singer same gazel. He also make same mistake .

Hassani on road correction: Mehdi Hassan himself sang as 'urhthi rehthi thi'. Also, at the start of this line, some occasions he had sung 'phir bhi jaise kaakh si urhthi rehthi thi' (adding 'jaise')....
