Wow.. S Janaki amma❤️ has sung 'N' number of such songs in various languages.. if there's a Kingdom of music, she will be both the King and Queen... I love many singers like Latha ji, asha ji and chitra ji etc.. but S Janaki amma somewhere is unbeatable when it comes to her versatility and expression of each letter in a word, be it high pitch, low note or emotional etc etc and any expression that someone cud think of.... and no musicians wud have ever thought for what they compose, a singer can sing like this... she's a gem and a treasure with that brilliant talent and a magical goddess of musical universe 😍😍❤️🙏

Very true. S.janakiamma herself is an encyclopaedia and a musical University. The ease with which she commands the notes and notations are impeccable. She truly is a god's personal gift/special creation for the musical world. Her voice has given the Kannada music world a new dimension which none can recreate nor come somewhere near also. And, if I am not mistaken, 2 of these ladies have received the bharat ratna: Lata Mangeshkar and Smt. MS. Subbulakshmi. Definitely, S. Janaki should receive the bharat ratna.

Superb singing by S.Janakamma. Great composition of G K. Venkatesh .Manjula looks very pretty. A great classical song.I think there are more classical songs in Kannada than in hindi comparing the limited coverage of Kannada film industry. Our music directors like G K Venkatesh,Vijay Bhaskar, Rajan-Nagendra,T G Lingappa,upendra Kumar all are very talented.

Uma Ghargi , True . Kannada film music always tops since 1960s. Mainly due to a set of great music directors and very good lyric writers like Chi Udayashankar, RN Jayagopal, Ku. Ra.Se., Vijayanarasimha, Geethapriya,G V Iyer, Hunusur Krishna Murthy, Kanagal Prabhakar Shastry and many others. The number of classical music based songs is more in Kannada compared to other languages , because our Kannada film directors used classical based songs even in ordinary social topic based films. But most unfortunate thing is that we Kannadigas always think that others are better and give credit to even mediocre music directors of other languages. Because we are always bowled by their marketing techniques rather than real quality.

All north Singers like Latha and many others got Bharatratna..Always like this ..when it come to awards south is neglected .Jankaki Amma expressed her dissatisfaction and rejected padmasri or some award from Indian Government citing south singers are getting too late . I challenge she is more versatile than any other singer in India. If we give this kind of Classical music filled songs to north singers they miserably fail. She equally sang more melodies in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam which no other North female singers can beat this record
