I am Nupe (Tapa) and I could listen to him on and on without getting bored. We really should be pushing for Federalism. We are largely divided along Religious/cultural, tribe, Language and region when we should be ruling ourselves best from our fore-cultures. Nigerian should (or we should) push for federal system of govt. Divide Nigeria into 6 regions (SS,SE, SW, NW, NE, NC) and let's all contribute maybe 15% to Federal. There is no need to even chase people to their respective regions, everyone just need to hold their respective govt in check

Chief, you have talked eloquently and intelligently on true Federalism. However, for more than thirty years the Yorubas have been appealing to Nigeria to imbibe true Federalism. This has not been possible. Even now, four zones in Nigeria agreed to true Federalism but two zones disagreed. Therefore, Chief, the Fulanis are not ready for true Federalism, instead they are ready for war. Thus, we need to go our separate ways. Oro wa ko ye ra wa o.

Gosh! Education is very crucial. Now the southerners know that they are not the same with the nomadic Fulani. They can now separate the pro-Western Education from non-Western Education.
@biblein1oneyearjesus6903 жыл бұрын
Sir, that was a good history we heard and unfortunately, the education in the west had been denied o such enlightenment and our children are absolutely ignorant of their heritage; their future and land has been taken from them. What they know now is one Nigeria, Yoruba. The more reason for them to be running out of the country for greener pasture instead of remaining to fight for their heritage. However, the Fulanis had gone beyond your warnings and the warning doesn't matter anymore. They are regarding us as noisemakers. They have taken over everything. Now the military training bases are all in the north with free education and tuition, even monthly stipend. The bulk of the admission will be their children and if any Southerner does not have the Muslim name might not be admitted. Their children are gradually being empowered. Let Yorubas come together as one to stand for what they believe. The war history you talked about was when there was no one Nigeria. It cannot happen now. Imagine the military in the south presently, as of this month October, to silence any agitator. what have we done since Igboho's house had been destroyed?

Chief, I appreciate your intelligence and eloqence,but I totally disagree with you on what you said concerning individual going on its way, Today ,the Americans are a mixed tribes. As we have Spanish getting married to Americans,so we have Nigerians married to Americans. Many Canadians married to Americans,also many French people have moved to America over two hundred years ago and married to different Nationalities. What am i saying, this intermarriage does not change the name of America. So marriage does not affect the Yorubas from being a Country of her own. Thanks.
@adewilliams83 жыл бұрын
Baba, there's something called dual citizenship so it doesn't matter if Yoruba married other ethnicity the fact is, Yoruba cannot refuse their right of self determination for a Yoruba Nation so, it's Yoruba Nation Now and No Going Back!!!

Ogunsajo Oluwatosin, you don't need to get confused or think what he is saying here is his own opinion which could be contradicted by another person's views. What he is saying is the gospel truth. Nothing stops you from going to the National Library and ask for the 1963 Constitution, l hope it is still there, and read it. You people, especially the youths of today need a lot of political education to understand the meaning of constitutions, their nature and applications in terms of the nature and structure of any particular country.
