Actually that was my mistake haha.. when you do J21 in the corner you switch sides for a second... So in order to do the ice klone you need to do df1 instead of db1

theres 1 combo that i use with sub and sareena. (any string) - sareena - jump up and use dive kick - stand 4 - sareena - back 2 (x2) - 24 - ice klone - 24 - ex dive kick - 124. idk if u used this combo yet but it does 41% with 1 bar and both kameos

You could also do Any starter string, sareena - standing 4 - sareena - back 2 (x2) - 21 - ice klone - 21+ex dive kick - jump 134. it consistently does 43 to 44%

Love the Sub-Zero knowledge you're dishing out, like a chef if I may add. What buffs you think Sub would need to be top 10 or even top 5? Keep up the grind fam👑❄

My suggested buffs for sub are-: 1. Make his 212, 122 faster 2. Make B2 cancellable like Rain's F3 overhead into throw. 3. Damage buff like 1-2%

​@@StarK_Takahashi I'd rather Sub get: 12/21 gaps removed. B2 -8 (multiple characters have far more) F1 to 12 frames startup. All these changes do is allow him to take back his turn safely jailed from pokes. Like every other character does except Quan. And it makes him have less risk to use his pressure and gameplan. -8 is still punishable but they have to actually think about it and be fast. If those don't get changed make clone safe, currently it's punishable on reaction by 98% of roster and has 60 frames from Clone fully visible till SubZero can block! His Divekick is punishable on reaction with UpBlock 40 frames from start of animation to when it hits. Instant Air Divekick point blank in face is 46 frames total. Have frame by frame breakdowns on my channel. What makes Sub bad is the high risk low reward situation of his gameplan. Anyone who knows the matchup literally takes away most of his tools and leave Sub with only F12/BF2/Slide in neutral and can only use Clone/Divekick as punisher/reactionary/combos. You do poke into clone and it can work against mashers but if they don't Sub literally dies for it with 30%-50% HP lost. The fact he risks losing neutral and being at knockdown disadvantage from simply taking his turn back with D1 into jailed high string is very limiting. If I had to just choose two buffs I'd pick: Clone safe 12 & 21 jail to second hit removing Gap People don't understand Kameos have invulnerability on reversal moves and come instantly back, it's essentially a free way to punish gaps and stop pressure while giving them OKI. They don't have to spend BAR to blow up every string Sub Zero has.

For those who didn't read my long post, I feel Sub deserves these 3 buffs: • F1 to 12f startup. • B2 to -7/-8 on block. • remove 12 & 21 gap by making the jail to second hit. [These changes are the standard for the upper half of the roster and many characters have much much more to work with, don't feel this is unreasonable to ask for safe ways to take turn back and have his overhead be safe(-7) or almost safe(-8) because currently he's one of the only ones with a unsafe reactable 24f startup OH] The super buff I'd love requires two things: • Subs meterless Clone is safe against Johnny's EX ShadowKick. • Ice Ball is now 25 frame startup and combos from 12/21/F12 with reduced damage scaling. Bonus Change: • Slide no longer has 6 frames of forced stand animation on startup. Giving Sub the ability to counter/low profile high projectiles on reaction and not get clipped.

the thing with subzero is that you really cant buff his damage he has a string that starts with a low and one that starts with an overhead it doesnt matter if you can do 50% damage combos if you cant start them. subzero can start them anytime basically

Great video, love seeing sub zero content one question tho how are you able to pull of the ice clone to freeze the opponent in mid air after doing the JF 21 combo cause when I try in training mode Sub it is not close enough so I end up doing the ice klone a couple of inches off and not freezing the opponent. I’m a fellow Sub zero main so just wanted to ask, again great vid

Yeah. You know when you open up with dive kick into your one bar combo if you do 1 2 after normal dive kick you get 376 damage instead of doing 2 1 which gives you 370

For the additional skins u have to go back through invasion mode and go to where u can use the cyromancer heart. Then do the fights till u fight subzero or use a ornate key for his additional palettes
