Chisora vs Whyte on the Joshua undercard was probably the best heavyweight fight of the year. Don't think it was on the Showtime broadcast but well worth checking out for those that missed it.

Hi Islander, Who do you think would win at Super-middleweight between Roy Jones Jr in his prime against Andre Ward.

Vlad isn't only cautious and reclusive against bigger fighters. But against all fighters. Even tiny little kids. See the Eddie Chambers fight, and Manny Steward throwing that classic temper tantrum between rounds to get Vlad to take it to Chambers.

There have been occasions where Joshua has been hurt badly in sparring. They're common knowledge. So sooner or later he will probably get ko'd in a fight. It's more a matter of when and how he reacts. As far as style and potential goes, you'd say he's somewhere between the mechanical Frank Bruno and Lennox. Incidentally, Joshua's trainer is Rob McCracken who's Froch's old trainer and head trainer to the British amateurs. He may well be the best trainer we have over here.

I just hope for a fun night with Hopkins last fight. Like a lower level version of the Pascal fights. Klitschko did a fine job against Jameel McCline but I think that was in the pre-Steward days and Jameel kind of choked anyway. Still, he was trying to be more well rounded back then instead of the mostly one dimensional sharp shooter he became during his reign. A lot depends on how Joshua approaches the fight but I think he has a good chance of knocking him out if Wladimir flails awkwardly as much as he did against Fury.

What do you think about the Chavez Jr. vs Canelo matchup that's being talked about?

I wonder if Chavez Jr can get back to 160, God forbid 154.

Ok, I just came up with a bunch of interesting fantasy matches; you can answer at your pace and discretion islander LOL. Here it goes, chavez/nelson 130, Hearns/Monzon 160, saldivar/nelson 126, chavez/locche 135 , hagler/jones jr 160, basilio/leonard 147, and hypothetical duran/pryor at 140 or 147, granted I know duran never fought for a title at 140

I think Joshua is a legit threat and talent at heavy, but he's not showing the skills a young Lewis did for me. Remember, Lewis came back to Britain as the Canadian Gold medalist & fought the likes of Gary Mason (short & very stocky), then took out Britains boxing heavy hero at the time, in Bruno. And Joshua is more Bruno than Lewis for skills. I agree, he has a superb appreciation (like Lewis did) to land that one-two jab followed by the big straight right. Most of the wins Lewis had, including his KOs came from it or were set up by it. But it was fluid. Joshua's not Lewis yet! For me, he reminds me of a mix of Lewis & Bruno. Lewis was a super HW that was best when attacking for sure. Just look at his re-match losses! Joshua seems stiffer (heavy muscular frame) & not as fluid with his hands as Lewis, especially on the inside. Where Lewis had a great inside game. Joshua seems to be similiar, but not as honed skill/speed wise as Lewis was. Watch the Lewis/Tyson fight. I just don't think Joshua has that in his game yet. And Holyfield??? But, comparing Joshua to greats now is unfair. He is who he is. Let's see if Klitchko fights like his brother & throws!!!

Joshua will KO Vlad within 6 rounds. Vlad has fought once in 18 months and he looked awful in that fight. Too old, too inactive.. getting KTFO.
