Biafra: Nigeria; Criminals register double sim 2 your identity and sale the other to fraudulent guys

My husband got a new phone recently and because this new phone allows dual SIM card in it, he decided to get a new sim card to complement the one he already has.
Then he decided to patronize all those road side sim card vendors and the unexpected happened. During the registration, he gave out the needed details to the vendor and the registration was going on smoothly until it got to capturing. Usually, you're only expected to be captured once but here, the vendor captured hubby twice and that made him suspicious and he queried him but he gave a flimsy excuse.
Immediately after the registration, unlike the vendor, he started leaving the area hastily. Immediately, hubby got a welcome text message indicating he registered two numbers instead of one, before he could realize what's up, the guy was almost gone but luckily for him, he caught up with him and asked why two numbers registered in his name instead of one, Oga vendor said "it's normal". So he insisted on having the vendor's phone number in case. The next day, he went to an Airtel office to lay a complain and the moment he mentioned what brought him, the manager there said " these guys again? Why doing these to innocent people"? , That was when we realized it's probably a reoccurring issue. Firstly, they had to deregister the second number and hubby had to call the state PRO of police immediately to inform him and that was how we knew the gravity of what the vendor did. The police PRO offered to send his officers to come pickup the vendor immediately. Questioning the vendor, he said they usually use people's details to register other sim cards which they resell to "car trackers" at a higher price. Well, we would later realize these vendors uses people's details to register sim cards which they sell to fraudsters, ritualists, kidnappers etc. The guy confessed he makes a lot of money in the business, claiming most office workers do not make as much money as he does.
Now, imagine if he sold this second number to a kidnapper or a frauster and when tracked, hubby's picture and details would pop up, he may unlikely be able to prove his innocence as his finger print and other important details are used...
I'm putting this out here because a lot of innocent people are in prisons today because of cr!me they know nothing about.
While doing your registration, please be attentive and report any suspicion to the right authority.
People should also deviate from engaging in illegal businesses as innocent people's futures/destinies are being gambled with because of these acts.
