Why was she murdered? I remember Vans was crazy, but started watching after Frankie was gone.

Frankie knew about Vanessa's Drug Ring and she knew that her Empire would be ruined if Frankie told. Ironically Marj Dusay who played Alexandra Spaulding #2 on Guiding Light ran Spaulding's Pharmaceutical Division where there was a dangerous drug that got alot of people sick. She ended up doing time in a Country Club Prison.
