Este musical, estrenado en 1960, fue de los primeros en promover un personaje protagonico de origen hispano que defiende y pone en alto nuestra personalidad y nuestras tradiciones, por encima del estereotipo norteamericano. Jeje... También soy mexicana y no me gustó, y eso que adoro a Bianca y soy su fan, hasta que leí cual es el contexto de esta canción. Los gringos suelen confundir a los latinos y mezclan Mariachis, tango, el baile español con el jarabe tapatío y demás. Y es una crítica a eso.
