PRODUCT LIST/ROUTINE IN ORDER: ***Start with clean, “soaking wet” hair that has been detangled (with a Tangle Teezer if you want to do exactly as the video) 1. Section the hair using clips, dividing it as needed for the thickness of your hair. If your sections are too small, it will take you over 9000 years. If they are too large, your hair will take a long time to dry and may become frizzy (the products might not evenly distribute). 2. Shea Moisture: Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie- rub the product between your palms before thoroughly raking this product through the hair, applying to individual sections using your hands. 3. EcoStyler: Argan Oil Gel- you may need to wet your hair again prior to applying this depending on your thickness and porosity. Warm this between your palms like the Shea Moisture Smoothie. Rake this through the hair as well. 4. Using a Denman brush (or something similar), gently rotate the brush through the sections you created to help separate the clumped curls. “Shake to activate” your curl pattern after brushing, and then tightly scrunch upwards. As you scrunch, additional water and excess product will leave your hair. If you aren’t sure your hair is wet enough, you should be hearing a squelching noise as you scrunch! (Also: in previous videos, Chelli has said she uses the 9 row version of the brush). 5. Continue scrunching using a cotton T-shirt to speed the drying process. Be sure you scrunch all the way to the root. 6. OPTIONAL: lay your edges with a small additional amount of EcoStyler and an edge brush (or a children’s toothbrush) 7. OPTIONAL: diffuse on low heat. 8. Righteous Roots Oil: use this product to help break any cast you may have on mostly-dry hair and add some additional moisture. Finally found my new hair routine! I have watched countless tutorials for curly hair. Bianca Dennis I never said you did...I said their hair looks 3a when completely WET, and 3b when it’s damp/dry. When your hair is wet that is when it’s the most visibly defined and easier to tell your actual texture as it is drying down. Your hair completely dry and unmoisturuzed is not always your true pattern.

I loved this collab! Chelli and Bianca, you both have great chemistry. I can relate a bit more to Chelli's routine because my hair is thicker though similar curl pattern. The other things I thought may account for the wide differences in wash 'n go routines is possibly environmental and your porosity levels may be factors. Overall, an informative and fun exercise.

My hair is like theirs and my wash and go is similar to both of their routines. I section, apply leave-in and styler, then section and sub section to activate the curls (I use a round brush bcz it's easier to use when my hands are full of products and I don't have to worry about which direction the brush is facing) Scrunch out the excess with a t-shirt, then I air dry... which can take hours. I rarely have time to diffuse!

Wow, I follow both of you, but started with Bianca’s channel. Her hair looks really good here, really hydrated and shiny. With the extra shrinkage, she could always stretch the hair in a pineapple for added length, while keeping the definition, shine and hydration from your routine. My hair is kinkier type 4a/b and I used to wait before diffusing. That caused more frizz and dryness. I now diffuse immediately after styling and my hair comes out shinier, defined and lasts longer. Lots of helpful tips in this vid for longer lasting styles.

Oh and the way I do my hair is a mixture of the way both of you all do your hair. My hair is thick like your's, but a little tighter curl, still spirals. I need A LOT of product to retain the curl definition I like, but I NEVER use a brush to EVENLY distribute product on hair shaft. When I was working with a trichologist, I did many hair types, from extremely tight curls to silky straight, and we only finger combed. Had fun watching your video!

I love these challenges! So interesting to see curlies step outside their regimen box, even if the results aren’t your taste. How else can you know?! I tried Bianca’s method of one product, but Franchellis technique of sectioning/smoothing/raking/defining with brush. Results were bomb on my 3c curls. I think it’s worth mentioning that just because two curly girls have the same curl pattern, the density of their hair can be quite different. Therefore products and necessary techniques will vary. I am from Bianca's channel. This was a great collaboration. I think you did a great job on her hair, shrunken or elongated, it looks awesome. I have never been a one product person like Bianca, I always use a leave-in or curl cream under my gels, and I don't use the denman brush, maybe I should try again. I actually use the denman comb to make sure my product is evenly distributed. My hair is shorter than you guys. I like definition more than anything.

I have your curl texture too so I decided to give your routine a go.. I simply used a shea curl cream and argan oil to finish because that's all I had.. OMG! my curls are back! my ringlets look amazing. It does take a long time though. I had been neglecting my hair for so long..feels so good to see my ringlets return. :)
