@@TheMuseumofUs I did the Overland Track in 1988 with a 18kg pack, deep bogs and very little duck board (I still remember crying as we walked for a good half day 🤭 on our 3rd day out) I did part of the Alpine Track and many over nighters in the Grampians. All before I had kids. Now I have recently got back into hiking and I’m very interested in the Ultralight stuff. We are going to do the Light to Light walk (NSW) next March and one day maybe I can do The Bib. So watching your series has been wonderful.

Emu poo is chock full of seeds and they are excellent to plant in the garden, Many of the seeds will not germinate until they have been thro an Emu, you never know what you will get. When I did that section it poured with rain the whole time. I lit a fire in the Metters and dried all my stuff. (I think the Metters has been taken out now, it was pretty decrepit.) Good Job.

We've just been wildflowering touring in the north and learnt about more species that need to go through an emu to be successful. Fascinating!

Thank you so much. Are you starting from Sullivan Rock?

I’m starting in North Bannister. It’s where I ended my last trip. I’ve done a majority of the track with my kids so it’s been slow going but really enjoyable. Like you guys I’ve filmed the whole thing and stuck the vids on YT.

Loving the vids! Great seeing the conditions on the track. Where abouts did you stay in Dwellingup - looks really nice?

We stayed at a place called "Di's Little Cabin" on Marginata Cres. It's since changed hands, but I think the new owner was planning to keep renting it out
