ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl: ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਣਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਘਾਲ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ Meditating in remembrance on Him, all things are obtained, and one's efforts shall not be in vain. ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਅਵਰ ਕਤ ਰਾਚਹੁ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ Forsaking God, why do you attach yourself to another? He is contained in everything. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥ O Saints, meditate in remembrance on the World-Lord, Har, Har. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਘਾਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; your efforts shall be rewarded. ||1||Pause|| ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੈ ਨਿਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਹਿਤ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ He ever preserves and cherishes His servant; with Love, He hugs him close. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਜਗਤ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੪॥੩੨॥ Says Nanak, forgetting You, O God, how can the world find life? ||2||4||32|| (12:38)
