once my brother (ballet dancer) told me that if you want to look good while performing you have to think 1000 times how you want to act, and practice it until you have what you want. I think yuzuru is the best example of that.

Interesting footage in retrospective in the sense that he seemed to be debating with himself, as this clip went on, whether he is ready to switch from the spread-eagle-sandwiched 3A routine to a new spread-eagle-sandwiched 4S routine in the next competition. And we witnessed his answer to this at 2015 NHK. He never seems to want to waste time and always has his mind set for stepping it up for future competitions.

This was a critical practice session for him despite it actually being the gala rehearsal. Being fed up with not being able to nail his SP with the usual 4T, 3A, 3Lz-3T layout he began reworking his layout during this on ice session and we all know the results of that- one of the most flawless SP that ever exists. Who knew the answer was to replace the 3Lz with a 4S? :P

@@dmnsngie Since this was in Skate Canada 2015 I’m guessing it was his Chopin program. It ended up being the most pivotal program in his career (besides Parisienne Walkways and Seimei) especially when he hit the 110s for the first time in history with a layout of 4S, 4T3T, 3A.

He will take a little moment to think how to execute his jump, where he should do it, should he improvises more or not. It is very endearing hahaha

If you are still wondering, usually they are not free to watch. The practice session tickets are usually included with all-event passes. But lately due to the popularity of the sport, they start selling tickets for the practices too.
