You use the dice to start. Your first roll is with the dice and you move the number of spaces (and you can chose the new testament or the old testament tracks), after that you move the number on the square you are on. I also suggest you study the Bible, not for gaming knowledge, but for your own spiritual development.

99% sure you need a die. For example the number on psalms is 150. So I think instead it just tells you the number of chapters in the book.
