Came out so beautiful 😍💡💡💡 I experienced what you mention, I let people know at work that I'm a Christian, and people laugh and make jokes. But then I started to pray for them and they slowly come to me and ask questions or they stop cursing around me. Is crazy but what is important is to keep your testimony in front of them. Don't be lukewarm show them that you really are set apart. And God will glorified His name. And when you tell people that your Christian especially at work man they will keep their eyes on you. Keep that in mind

This page is beautiful, Lindsey. Also one of my favorite verses. I can relate to the broken A/C. Ours broke two summers ago. We actually have two units in our house and only one broke so it didn’t get completely unbearable, but it was pretty tough. It took three weeks for the unit to come in and another two for the contractor to get us in. I thought for certain I would die! My hubby, who is on blood thinner, thought it was the perfect temperature though! Lol

Do you prefer the hard tip Tombow pen or the soft tip pen? Also, it would be cool to see a hand lettering tip Tuesday if you feel comfortable doing that!

How fun! Tonya has a great resource on her blog for those looking to start a group messybible.net/teach_bible_journaling/ I started out by purchasing some inexpensive supplies like colored pencils and watercolors from Michael’s and have slowly grown my kit from there. There are several ladies on Etsy who offer printables that can be used for classes (Illustrated Faith printables require that you purchase a class license to use theirs). Keep it simple and just have fun!

Nope, watercolors don’t bleed (except for Crayola) and I prefer to use Micron Pens in my journaling.

Can you do this on binder paper? I started my first Bible journal, using a composition, not pad. No far, the Gesso does not work.

You can really watercolor on binder paper...you could try using one of those pads of Mix Media paper

You are such an artist! I ruined my 4 months old first inspire bible with gelatos.. It looks like a 2 year old colored in it 😖😖 i am going to throw it away, buy a new one and just stick to coloring in the prints that are there.

@@LindseyDecor I'm sharing this with you because I'm a new Christian and this is something God just revealed to me today. It is wrong for us to be taking advantages of the things we get daily like food, when there are others who don't have it. I'm not saying owning a bunch of Bibles is wrong but to sit and draw over God's word when there are people who don't have it physically is wrong. You're coming at me in a sarcastic tone when I'm telling you something that I feel is wrong. Obviously God isn't expecting us to give up all of our Bibles or cash to support everyone in need but He is expecting us to humble ourselves and appreciate what we do have and not take advantage of it.

And we all can have different convictions that’s why I started with that. I don’t for a second take lightly the privilege I have to be in the US where I’m able to freely (at least for now) follow Christ and learn about God through His Word. You may be convicted about different things than others. I’ve yet to find scripture that says it’s wrong to paint in your Bible. I don’t criticize how others choose to worship and I’d ask that that same curtesy be given to me. Bible journaling isn’t for everyone but that’s the beauty of being free in Christ.

Being the body of Christ we all are different and have different convictions pertaining to things and as long as it doesn't go against Gods word then we have the choice to make whether we want to do it or not. Like this may not convict you but if it convicts me it could be just personally something that's not for me. My belief isn't wrong pertaining to this but neither is yours.

If you feel convicted about covering the text then don’t but I believe it’s between each person individually and God.

I'm sorry but in my opinion this kind of thing isn't really for me, I feel like you're covering God's word and a lot people in other countries would die to have a Bible and this kind of thing covers God's words like I feel like it could be done on art paper and not covering words in a Bible.

When I first started I only used mediums that were translucent or stuck to the margin space but over the years I’ve occasionally covered text in the Bibles that I use for journaling. Again, I have many Bibles to read and study from but there are some people who don’t cover the text at all.
