*Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ.* Apart from a grammatical error, it's a good quiz. #2 Walking on the water, and later ordering the sea to be quiet, is very telling to the disciples, and thus to us. The sea, storms and such were things only God could control. Therefore anyone who can walk on water or command the sea must be God or have the power of God. #5 Not exactly Elisha wanted a double share of Elijah's spirit. He already had the mantle, from when he was plowing and Elijah called him. What Elisha wants is to continue Elijah's mission with even greater fervor and power. (Which, by the way, he does.) #6 The is wording issue here. The answer should be "Anything". The repeated passage is correct, "there is nothing new under the sun." So what is _not_ new is anything. #7 Jesus is being tempted with the same things that caused man's downfall in the Garden of Eden. See Gen 3:6. This important to being "A man like us in all things but sin", Heb 4:15. #11 Of course, who would be above the king in the kingdom? Paul says so many times, as does Peter. Peter though has an office in the kingdom, that being as al-habayit. Translated that means steward of the kingdom, sort of a prime minister sort of job. Jesus is a Davidic king and Mat 16:18-22 is an Davidic kingdom reference. Now, everyone should go check the answer and study up on Davidic kingdoms. #13 Fig leaves are irritating to human skin, they contain furocoumarins. The point in the story is that when sin entered the world, so did suffering. God then provided relief from suffering by giving clothing from animal skins, Gen 3;21.
