Urim is NOT casting lots. Urim and Thummin were used with the priests ephod w/ the 12 precious stones. Our understanding is limited but it is not just casting lots. 1:46

I had 4 wrong out of 12 this chapter was very meaningful its like you can imagine everything that was going on to me it was sad especially when Saul and Jonathan died. David was sad even though he knew Saul was after him to kill him he still considered him as a father in law and him as his king it was just sad i like reading it every time

12/12 I have a serious problem with your answer to question #8. The Bible indicates that the witch realized it was Saul, as soon as the spirit appeared, but it doesn't say how. I believe the evil familiar spirit warned the witch. Your guess implies that it really was Samuel that came up, as if God would disturb His faithful servant from his sleep at the behest of sorceress, a servant of Satan, after having forbidden His people to seek after such.
@100Chapters Жыл бұрын
Whether the spirit really was Samuel is up for debate. And just because God warns people of consulting sorcerers, doesn't necessarily prove Samuel wasn't summoned. After all, Saul did pay the price the next day. What we do know is that the witch was terrified. Why? We are usually only terrified by things outside of our control and in opposition to us. Was she terrified of Saul? She seemed quite comfortable offering him food. Was she terrified of a spirit who warned her? Or ws she terrified of God's faithful servant coming out of the earth? We can enjoy the debate, but I think the only real conclusion we need to make is not to get involved in necromancy. 🙏

- God commanded they keep the sacrifice, they didn’t. - God commanded they were to worship Him only, they not only worshipped idols - they sacrificed their children to the idols. - God commanded Saul to destroy the Amalekites and to specific kill their king, but he did not. And kill the animals. Presumably, although not stated, they were practicing beastiality, this making the animals unclean. The scripture clearly says Saul went to the witch. As for her power, another scripture stated we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and spiritual wickedness. Job proves the power satan has; Hood specifically restricted him from killing Job.

@@Rood67 Satan does not have the power to give life, as in raising Samuel from the dead.
@Rood67 Жыл бұрын
@@gordonandhollinewhite2214 you’re limiting God with this statement. God can use anyone to do anything that He wishes done or allows to be done. Such as having a donkey speak in Numbers to Baalam. Or preparing a great fish in Jonah that Jesus states was a whale. Science says a whale cannot swallow a man, but the Bible says that God prepared one and only one for His purpose. Nebuchadnezzar, a pagan king at the time, dreamed of the future of the world spanning thousands of years in Daniel. Samuel was not raised from the dead as Jesus did Lazarus. The witch, unlike modern self-proclaiming mediums pierced through to his spirit in Paradise. Saul would not listen to Samuel in life and live and have his kingdom established. So, God in death, through death, told him he was going to die and his sons. When you start limiting God; and who He can use, and to what end; why bother with any of it at all?
