There are several benefits of learning syntax and in this video, I'll share with you what syntax is and 5 reasons why Greek syntax matters.

I love this video. Encouraging people to learn to assess the matter for themselves, and to also not presume that we understand more than we do. I'm glad you did speak up about some commentaries having shortcomings, because many people will consider themselves underqualified to evaluate the matter, and so they will feel obligated to concede to a commentary if it is written by someone who is officially credentialed.

Love the new "learning supports" (new to me, at least): the pictograms at the bottom reinforcing the points as you go along, and the summary of all the points on the left as you conclude. Really helped me follow the argument. Thanks.

I've learned one huge lesson in beginning greek - It's dangerous to learn 'just enough' greek. It's got to be a labor of love.

Bible Study: Why you need to understand Greek syntax? 1. To better understand what the author is saying. - Understanding the author's intention requires us to understand syntax. 2. To open up options for deeper study of the text. - Evaluate grammarians' insight - Understand commentaries 3. To ask better questions of the text. - Allows you to think critically about the Bible author's views. 4. To evaluate what the interpreters are saying. 5. To best understand what God is communicating.
