@larbi1075 the more you read Scripture, the more you get to know God, Himself. Videos are inspiration and sermons are teachings. But the Word of God is Living Water. It quenches your soul - the more you read, the more you understand and the more you are enlightened. The Word of God has Power in it - videos and sermons are of 'man' (humans; flesh).. But Scripture is of God and Spirit. Yes, God speaks directly to you when you read His word because then, you are communing with God and building your relationship with Him.

He gives us Truth and understanding, directly from the Holy Spirit, because I can hear God through his teachings - it cuts sharp and clean, like a knife, into the souls of men. That is what the gospel does and I recognize that it is not present in all people's teachings.
