Thanks Hank. Recently I mentioned the problematic nature of 'woke' (and transgender sports) in our local village Church of England monthly service of Evensong. Some offered me wholehearted support, but the Churchwardens said that, whilst they agreed with what I had to say, the pulpit was not the place to raise such issues - and suggested that my colleague should preach instead of me at the next service (I would usually preach at Evensong). Here is the issue: 'cancelled', albeit temporarily, by those who say they agreee with me!

Mr Perry, is your woke administration making things “ right” by pushing reverse discrimination? Is CRT doing anything but teaching hatred and victimization? Is lowering standards in education the answer or does it ensure poverty? Does releasing violent criminals make communities safer? Doe a nation with no borders not reimposed slavery through human trafficking? Do the drugs coming across those borders help impoverished communities or kill its youth? Wokeism is the worst thing ever for the communities it targets to save. No sir, your woke administration is destroying the very fabric of society. It’s answers to the past injustices are creating monsters for decades to come.

@@lindawilliams9624 Hi Linda. I think the two terms which are often mistaken for each other are “Equality” and “Equity”. Equality means everyone is allowed the opportunity to succeed to their individual highest. Equity means every is given the same result no matter whether they tried or not. In fact they will all be forced to accept the same benefits, like it or not. These benefits are generally lower than most people are capable of achieving on their own.

There's no such thing as "wokeism".. I'm dismayed to see the usually rigorous Dr. use a term that is such a parody. Please address positions some real people actually hold about gender, class, race etc.. If you really want to find an etiology for the general selfishness and hedonism we're seeing, I'd suggest that ubiquitous commercial advertising is a whole lot more influential than university philosophy and lit departments are..

So you read one book and formed an opinion, rather than actually researching the issues that we are trying to address, or listening to and being empathetic towards those who have suffered under white supremacy and patriarchy? Everything you say can be turned around to the cult of conservatism. De-platforming, indoctrination, mandating ideology, threatening livelihoods, insinuated into the fabric of military and government, rejection of critical thinking, shaming, etc. Please take a look at the three fingers pointing back at you when you point at those who have suffered so much in our society. I used to be a die-hard Christian conservative until I realized how damaging the righteousness narrative was to my soul and how many people I had deeply hurt in the name of Christ. I used to listen to you on the radio all the time. The religious right harbors the biggest persecution complex in our society. I believe this is because the Bible talks about persecution so much, but it was written during a time when Christians were actually being persecuted. The ideological conflict occuring in this free country is not persecution. No one is being jailed or murdered for believing in Jesus. Your free speech is protected so that you can make this video. Please think carefully about how you use this platform and your influence. Please try to be compassionate.

I haven't read the book he was referring to and I already knew everything he's talked about as true. You sound like someone caught up in a cult would say. You also have 3 fingers pointing right back at you, which is typical from members of the woke culture.
