Jeremiahs scribe Baruch was the first to hear a great truth about Gods sovereignty in the affairs of nations. God chose Jeremiah because He could convey the heart of God even in the midst of these unprecedented days of great sorrow. Verse 4, that which I have built I will breakdown and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
