Hi, Your video is very helpful and easier to understand. I was trying to upload my data following your explanation and I did it successfully. However, the problem I am facing is that histcite is showing records of limited years. In my example I uploaded a file with 500 records from various years but when I uploaded it to histcite it is showing them in year 2018 and few in 2019 but it is not showing articles from 2015 and more back years. Surprise it that it is showing 500 records uploaded. PS I downloaded the data from WOS. I tried the same in bibexcel and it is showing those articles. Can you help me to sort it out. Or if there is any alternative of histcite. M finding Bibexcel difficult.

I have noticed - through comparing my dataset with Google Scholar -that ISI Web of science did not cover all relevant articles meeting my criteria. How do I include these missing articles from Google Scholar in my dataset to analyze it with Histcite or other software? Greetings from Austria Thomas​

Hi, ISI covers articles published only in journals listed in their database; which means that only very good quality articles show up in ISI search. But in google you get everything, including top ones and rubbish ones. Anyway, you can add articles to your data-set manually using HistCite. Click "File" in the top-left corner, then "New Record".

Hello thank you so much for your videos , pls I need your help I don't have access to WOS , so I used google Scholar I extracted diffrent citations and gathered them in a txt Format , when I upload them in histcite , it didn't work!

HistCite only works with WOS data.

Hello, Greetings. Thank you very much for your video. It is really helpful. Lately, i was performing a bibliometric analysis with this software. I downloaded a dataset from WoS of 500 records. However, when i input the text file in the HistCite, it is showing 423 records instead of 500. Why is this difference? Did i make any mistakes? Please suggest me. Thank you in advance.

Hi, most likely you have made a mistake. Please make sure that you have selected 500 articles and it was added to the marked list.

You should use text file, rar file does not work in histcte. Please watch the videos carefully.
