BICYCLE TOUR FRANKFURT AM MAIN - OFFENBACH - HOECHST

Wonderful is a bike tour along the Main, past Frankfurt am Main to Offenbach harbour and back to Frankfurt Höchst.
On the south side there is a continuous cycle path along the banks of the Main with many parks. On the north side the cycle paths partly go through industrial areas, but also through beautiful landscapes. Some of the cycle paths on the northern route are guided over roads. The skyline of Frankfurt, the many Main bridges, the impressive skyscraper of the ECB and some bizarre residents of the city who populate the banks of the Main on sunny days are worth seeing.
I recommend a detour to the Frankfurter Römer, Frankfurt's historic town hall square. The many historical buildings and well-frequented alleys in Frankfurt's old town are wonderful.
Mostly chemical plants are associated with Frankfurt Höchst, but on the banks of the Main there is a beautiful old town with a castle, and you can change the river side with a ferry for pedestrians and cyclists.
My bike tour was almost 42 km long and is absolutely recommendable. I enjoyed the bike tour.

Die Tour hatte mir richtig Spaß gemacht. Wetter und alles passte aber auch perfekt und die Strecke ist schön flach und abwechslungsreich und die Sicht auf die Skyline ist beeindruckend 🚴‍♀️💪👍

Ich komme auch nicht aus Frankfurt und die Strecke war auch neu für mich. Am Main lang ist die Orientierung kein Problem. Das betrifft die Südseite. Die Nordseite ist insbesondere zwischen Frankfurt und Höchst, nachdem die Strecke nicht mehr am Main langführt, leider nicht so gut ausgeschildert. Aber mit Google Maps und eine freundliche Dame, die ich fragte und den gleichen Weg hatte und eine Weile mit mir radelte und anderen Leuten, die mir den Weg zeigten, klappte es gut. Ich habe mich daran gewöhnt, dass die Erstbefahrung einer Strecke immer etwas länger dauert und man hier und da mal wieder zurückmuss. Das plane ich ein und durch Google Maps verfährt man sich auch nicht all zu lange. Da darf man sich nicht ärgern, sondern es ist Teil der Radtour in neuen Gefilden. An das Fragen von Leuten habe ich mich gewöhnt und mache oft die Erfahrung, dass man Land und Leute noch besser kennenlernt und häufig bekommt man Tipps für Strecken und Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Maps einem nicht gezeigt hätte. Die Hilfsbereitschaft und Sympathie für Radfahrer ist eigentlich immer vorhanden, wobei ich auch eine bekennende Quasselstrippe bin. Dann gute Fahrt 🚴‍♀️💪🖐
