Vermont and Plattsburgh, NY were the places I started my bicycle touring days (85/86). Country is incredibly beautiful, but the hills are killer, especially for a newly bike tourist. Nice videos! Are you riding a Trek 520?

Thanks for watching them! I agree that area is incredibly scenic but well worth the pain of the hills. On my whole tour of the east coast VT takes the cake as the toughest/ hilliest. Not even the apps of NC/VA were as bad. And yes, trek 520! love it!

The maple store is quintessential Vermont. Down to the notepad asking you to write down what you took.

Sincere thanks for the effort, especially since the ride covers familiar ground in my neck of the woods, but I can never watch "fast-forward" bicycle touring videos all the way through. It just injects a frenetic pace into something which, by its very nature, should be leisurely. You're not alone in doing this, and I'm not alone in not liking it.

Thanks for chiming in and watching. I certainly agree with your thoughts on bicycle touring being a leisure activity and I could see how the fast forwarded bits don't convey that. My video editing style changed towards the end of my tour & the last 2 or 3 videos on my channel have none of that so if you haven't seen them already, check it out :)

Thanks so much for the kind reply, Christian. I didn't mean to sound overly harsh. I guess I've just encountered a number of hyper-space-speed bicycle videos recently. I will definitely check out your other productions. Safe travels, from a fellow Bay Stater.

Hi, what is the size of your wheel and the type of brakes? Disc or Rim brakes? Thanks.
@12carza7 жыл бұрын
Hi! I have rim brakes and the tire size I use is 700x32. Both seemed to work well with my tour.

Beautiful scenery but I'm not liking the fast forwarded footage as it makes me feel vertiginous. Enjoying your travels, thank you.

10 years ago my schedule gave me 7 days in a row off every 4th week... I used to ride my motorcycle to Vermont from Northern NY all spring, summer, and fall.... Bought a Surly Disc Trucker and am going to start the bicycle touring gig, especially in another 13 months when I retire....thanks for the video!!

Oh wow.. Interesting routine. Those areas are extra beautiful while touring on a bicycle. I'm sure the new bike will be a great fit and ride like a dream. Happy touring!

Music is nice, if a little somber.
@12carza7 жыл бұрын
It was my intention for the music to reflect the mood... with the rain, clouds, and initial difficulties I guess you can say it's kind of a somber one. Thanks for watching!
