Thank you for such a lovely video, I was wondering if you wanted more ideas of a different sort to add maybe a little humour occasionally. When parked up in my tanker in country lanes all over the midlands, whilst looking at the map book, found some really strange and often humorous village names. Ones like "tiddleywink" and "crackpot" made me laugh, and yes, they are REAL village names. Over a period of time during dinner breaks, I found so many more, would you consider walking through a lovely village, then at the end, show us that it is named "beer", "stout", "ugley", "nasty" "ryme intrisica" or even "Twatt" (Shetland Island), I have a list of about 50, what do you think?.

Really enjoyed this. Were I there myself, I would be strolling at the same pace so I could look around and take everything in. @ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR132 жыл бұрын
We BRITS take this all for granted the beautiful castles/Hamlets/palaces and stately homes.Because we see it everyday we leave our homes to buy groceries/fill the car with petrol (gas) so it's normal for us to see one.And we see foreigners in the comments section go OMG I'd love to visit that village or live there and we BRITS think why It's only a village/palace or whatever you get what I mean?? Lols
@sirsimonthesentry47872 жыл бұрын
@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 it is easy to do. Most people do that wherever they live. My mom grew up in the military (as did I) and she taught me to max out every place I lived because you might only be there for a short while. I have done my best to do that (tho as I have gotten older, it has gotten harder), so I don’t just ignore what is around me. But it is actually the more small cottages with beautiful gardens that grab me more than castles, etc. Love Inglenook fireplaces, beams, thick walled windows, etc. My grandfather was born in Yorkshire so I would love to visit someday but again… age/health, so I live vicariously thru videos, tv shows & movies, etc. (oh and window shopping on Air BnB and Righmove 😂)

I’m watching from a small town in East Texas, USA… Loved this video! Along the way, I wanted to look to the left into the pub? Was that a pub?… I wanted to go closer to Saint Nicholas church… And then there was that driving lane… So confusing… It was a two-way lane but looked like only room for one car… And the signs were saying give way to oncoming traffic… Give way where?! OMG… I would be just like Cameron Diaz in that movie The Holiday when she is driving and sees oncoming traffic and freaks out! Lol… The pond with the ducks was absolutely beautiful… People are living in this village?! I want to live there! It’s beautiful! I never knew there were such places that were actually real… Wow… Amazing… Thank you for this walkaround in the most quaint village I’ve ever seen… I love it…😊💖
@everywhereisimagined2 жыл бұрын
I think that is one of my favourite comments. I never realised how overwhelming it could be to someone not from England visiting. I’ve never watched The Holiday but my wife has. People do live here! Best wishes and glad you liked the walk… I hope it was at least a little tranquil 🇬🇧👋😊

Yeah with a dream price LUNA and that's over $1 million dollars for a house here they virtually goes up 25-40% every 10 years because everyone wants one so they are paying silly prices for them.But if you'd bought one in the 1950's -1970's in which you would of probably paid around $40-$75K for it.But now your looking at way over the $1-2 MILLION price bracket but what a awesome investment to make because you'd have made a $ 1 MILLION of pure profit..
