President Biden appeared to wander away as other G7 leaders pose for a photograph. It happened while leaders of the Group of Seven wealthy democracies were in Italy watching a skydiving demonstration. The matter follows a string of strange incidents for Biden.

Everyone else understands that they're watching the demonstration in front of them as a group. The fact that he wandered off to the soldiers that aren't part of that demonstration is why this is awkward. Clearly the other leaders felt it was awkward too, which is why they led him back. You can make excuses for him, but it's clearly an awkward moment, and he's clearly very old and very slow.
