Thirdly, would make the u.s liable for nuclear proliferation as that would mean giving a non-nuclear weapons state a nuclear capability that it did not possess. Fourthly, it would unbind Russian and Chinese hands to arm enemies of the U.S such as Venezuela, Yemen,Iran and Syria with nuclear weapons. This would unleash global chaos to the detriment of the U.S itself. Lastly, Russia would never allow a nuclear and hostile Ukraine. And even if Ukraine were to receive u.s nukes, it lacks the geographical depth to survive a nuclear exchange that Russia has due to its ernomity.
