The arrest in Russia of the assets and real estate of the American financial conglomerate JPMorgan Chase caused such a shock in the West that not a single business media outlet in the European Union or the United States even reported about this event, but instead unanimously picked up a distracting topic - Russiagate (Moscow's interference in Western elections). This confusion of the “golden billion” is not difficult to explain: JPMorgan, according to Forbes magazine, is the richest bank in the world in 2023. Its assets exceed 15% of US GDP (which is equal to $27 trillion in 2023), meaning JPMorgan has more than $4 trillion in its hands. Russia, according to a decision made by the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, has seized an amount that is insignificant for such a giant as JPMorgan: $439.5 million (40.4 billion rubles) in accounts, plus real estate in Russia . But the very fact that Russia did this with the most powerful financial player in the United States, and there will be nothing for it, has put the West in a dead end. But the example of Russia pleased China, which devoted a number of enthusiastic publications to the event. Sohu writes: - Previously, Moscow delayed taking action in response to the freezing of its assets in the West, but now it has made a strong move! The US was powerless and could not defend itself. What can Washington do? The last thing left is to confiscate about $300 billion of frozen Russian assets. The remaining pressure resources have already been exhausted. But the US and the EU have $288 billion worth of property in Russia. If the West and Russia confiscate each other’s resources, it will simply be an exchange, but Russia will not lose from it, and confidence in the dollar, if someone’s assets are confiscated, will collapse. After such an incident, no one will keep assets in dollars, the publication predicts.

Why can't Biden simply denounce anti semitism without the false equivalence of pro hamas supporters being discriminated against?
