That is true. One big difference between him and Joe Biden though is this: Unlike Joe, Jimmy lived out his Christian faith in practical terms. He was consistently pro-life and not a racist. Joe was mentored by KKK types and opposed bussing because he said he didn't want his kids going to school in a "racial jungle".

President Carter was man of faith who said that he asked for God's help many times throughout the day. He built homes for the poor with his own two hands, he negotiated a peace deal between Israel and Egypt that has lasted to this day. He was humble and a gentleman. Our nation is blessed to have known you. May your legacy inspire a new generation of kind and decent and caring leaders.

Rest in peace, President Carter. Jimmy Carter served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for work to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development. This is what the presidency should be about. He left behind an honorable legacy - that the next four years can never hope to achieve. January 9th is scheduled for his funeral and has been designated as a national day of mourning. January 20th - for at least half this nation - will be also be a national day of mourning - but for vastly different reasons.

After the failed hostage rescue, Carter started JSOC, which included not only Delta Force but also created Seal Team Six. Seriously? Biden and Carter have their rightful places in history secure, in the top. Trump has his secure as worst on his own 1st term and insurrection alone.

I have a Jimmy Carter Peanut large gunny sack from his own peanut farm. I also have a campaign wind up smiling plastic peanut that walks that says "You like him, he likes you." He was in office when I was 17 in high school in 1978. I once sent him a large photo of him he personally signed for me. I did this with all the presidents and they all signed them for me. Once I was in a thrift store and came across one of his many books he wrote. I opened it and glanced at the entry page. He had personally signed it with a small photo enclosed with it showing him signing the book. Remarkable. No one knew or they would have priced it more. I bought it for only $2.00. He will live on in all our memories. He is indeed young again in the arms of his lord and savior Jesus Christ also with his eternally young wife of 77 years of marriage forever and eternally together never to be separated ever again. He and her are now eternally at peace with his beloved mother and father as well as all his siblings who went before him and friends he knew on this earth. A truly remarkable man.

Biden was also a peanut farmer in the Georgia section of Scranton. Joe attended the Puerto Rican mosque in downtown Plains. No joke.

Biden speaking from his heart, or just reading what someone typed for him to say? Lets be honest when answering this question.
